Secondary market research on university summer business programs for Smith College
Project Goals
Wellesley Strategy was hired by Smith College to perform secondary market research on summer business programs from peer universities. This competitive research was used to guide the Executive Education department at Smith College in forming a new summer business program.
Project Results
Detailed spreadsheets of numerous attributes of competing programs were collected through Web-based research. In some cases, direct contact with programs was made to fill in gaps in data. The data was analyzed to look for similarities across key dimensions, such as location, course curriculum, class duration, enrollment size, pricing, and reputation. Finally, a summary outlined the key elements of successful programs for Smith.
