MATLAB Onramps

MathWorks offers MATLAB software and self-paced courses free for students. I create educational presentations and plan events for students to learn MATLAB fundamentals. At these events, I answer questions and help students with the onramp tasks.

Deep Learning Onramp

MathWorks offers Deep Learning and Machine Learning self-paced courses. To create presentations and run these tutorials, I completed the Deep Learning and Machine Learning Certificates from MathWorks.

Promotion through Social Media

I design social media promotions to build MATLAB awareness on campus and drive attendance at events. At Western (UWO), I created the Instagram account “uwomatlab” and built the account to over 100 followers. I've grown undergrad followers by involving friends, promoting directly to my CS classses, and develoing cross-posting partnerships with related clubs for CS and Engineering students. For graduate followers, I've partnered with the Graduate Engineering Society, which sent out promotional emails to grad students.

On “uwomatlab", I post educational content to teach students about MATLAB capabilities. Additionally, I create graphics to promote events, using photos that I take during events. This helps build interest with students for future events!
